Ed Mortenson

Ed is a freelance drummer and educator. A graduate from the music programs at Red Deer College and Grant McEwen College. Since school Ed has continued his studies with many amazing players from around the world and continues to do so today.

He has played all over the world from Afghanistan (playing for the troops with numerous artists), Sochi Russia (playing for the NHLPA at the 2014 world Olympics) to spending 3 years playing and touring South East Asia and the Middle East with a show band The Highlites.

Ed is called for many different type of gigs. Cover, Corporate and original Artists. Styles ranging from rock, pop, disco, blues, to country.

When he is not on the road Ed is also an educator. Ed runs his own teaching studio in Mississauga “ The Drum Dojo”

Ed has worked with and works with such artists as, Ian Thornley, Truth n Rights, Thomas Wade, Wild T and the spirit, Heather Ballentine, Myria Webber, Elton Lammie and HAARD, to name a few.
